Last Saturday night was a history in the making. As we witnessed two important persons in college met in the MO2 bar in smallville Complex. Still ang mga bida, bida man japon. The night with classmates (Tinjoy, Yani, Nesty & Roark) was a small reunion… Syempre daw may lovers lang sa atubang namon…

All facebook USERS are always updated especially when their friends are changing some status or adding some pictures in their account or even a simple but controversial comment which can be traced by their friends.  Those who can  post something different will obviously be noticed easily and for sure will receive a lot of comments.

The scenario above has been experienced by most of us.  Because of this feature of facebook I have a lot of spoof or news that I’ve blog in my sites., for instance Lezzel’s status. Everyone was also alarmed by April Rose’ engage status that brought a lot of questions to our minds.  The profile pic of Alyanna which her friend commented a lot.  The pictures uploaded by Sidney in hes trip to Boracay.  The feelings we iterated in the comment area always gain a lot of response especially if it is controversial and mind questioning status.

The month of November of this year seems to be a loaded month of events for all the Filipinos! The news brought by different media which caught everyones attention not only the Filipinos but the entire world! The Philippines was once again put in the headlines of the news. The stories and gossips have been revealed and to summarize for the whole month let us review the top stories:

Let start the story with a good news coming from our “kababayan” Mr. Manny “PACMAN” Pacquaio who won his 7th title in professional boxing arena. The entire nation celebrated with his victory. No doubt he is the the best boxer in the world today and maybe for the next decade. This proves that Filipino could be on top if and only if we will strive for the best. “YOU KNOW”

On the  opposite story, the winning of Pacquiao was not celebrated in a high not unlike his previous winnings. Why? Because of the rumors behind his love affair with Krista Ranillo, a showbiz personality. Of course the whole nation sympathize his wife Jinky Pacquiao. Everybody condemn Ms. Ranillo despite the fact that only she and PACMAN know the real score. Anyway let’s leave this topic to  ”The Buzz”.

After a few days, Philippines crowned the newly  Miss Earth 2009 at Ecovillage in Boracay Island. We all know that Miss Earth is one of the major pageant in the world. The bad news is, it was not as grandiose as it was before. Budget constrain and lack of sponsorship were the reasons why the foundation produce a lousy pageant. Still kudos to our representative Miss Sanrda Seifert who won 1st Runner Up ( i thought she will won). This means lousy judgment? Congrats to Miss Brazil for winning the crown.

“Nayanggaw ka na da?” Hello Readers esp. the Inforgers! Have you heard about “Yanggaw”? One of the phenomenal and classic hiligaynon/ilonggo produced film. I know some have watched it already but still some have not. So let’s review the movie for the benefit of all.

“Yanggaw” is a Hiligaynon term meaning ‘to convert to being an “aswang” (Hiligaynon term for witch”. The storyline is an epic of “aswang” in the Philippines! According to some this is based on the original story. Even though this is a digital film, the story looks amazing because it depicted a typical remote life of Filipinos. The famous character “Amor” played by Aleera Montalla who won the Best Actress” for the Indie Film “amo ni sya ang ginyanggaw” (ti Hiligaynon nalng daw mas nami or nabudlayan lang ko i-express…) and of course “Nyor” played by the the veteran actor Ronnie Lazaro who bags the Best Actor in the said award giving body was the father of “AMOR” who loves her daughter very much and willing to sacrifice others despite this situation. Some notable actress who was also part of this movie are Tetchie Agbayani & Joel Torre, a true blooded Ilonggo. Other stars are Gio Raspall, Monette Gaston. Drama and suspense mixed in this movie..

Good news and bad news! The two side of stories we always heard… Let start with the China Girl. Mayjoy who just celebrated her 23rd birthday last July 27, 2009 with a “balikbayan cash” party courtesy of Tinjoy. As always cash is welcome for any celebration. Thanks for that Mayjoy. Good news to diba, but the dark side of it, before she turn 23, she was confirmed to have an H1n1 flu… First Case??? And she survived with the proper medication and self-conditioning. Mayjoy pa… Joy any precaution you did? What medication was applied to you?

The first ever IICT reunion last 2007 builds camaraderie,  among the IICT Alumni of West Visayas State University. They gathered last September 15, 2007 at Emillion Center in General Luna St. Iloilo City. The event was well participated from the batch 2002 to 2007 under two courses the BSIM & BSIT. I’ts great to know that IICT organize this event now we know who are our “manongs” and “manangs” are.

The Faculty and Staff of Institute of Information & Communications Technology was there to celebrate the night. Dr. Arlene Arellado, the alumni director, was the invited guest. According to her “IICT Alumni Event was the most successful and unique event… Successful in the sense that the number of participants was extremely high with more than 100 plus, unlike other colleges reunion which only ranges from 30 to 50 persons.” Knowing that IICT is only a small group.
